Banner ad sizes: how to choose an ad placement

BannerFlow supports horizontal, square, mobile and tall banner placements. The uploaded creative size must match the selected placement size. This guide explains the options for publishers and advertisers without promising that every format receives equal traffic.

Common sizes and where they fit

A 728×90 leaderboard works in wider page sections; a 300×250 rectangle fits content columns; a 160×600 skyscraper is designed for taller sidebars; and 320×50 or 320×100 banners can be useful on mobile layouts. Choose based on the actual content container, not merely a desktop preview.

The list below is taken from the supported sizes in the current BannerFlow application. It is a compatibility list, not a ranking of how often ads will be served.

Use a separate placement for each size

Create a dedicated ad slot in your account for each location and size. Each slot has its own key, integration format and reports. Reusing one key across mismatched sizes makes troubleshooting difficult and can prevent a compatible banner from being served.

Inspect the published page on phones and larger screens. If a creative overflows, adjust the layout or create a mobile-specific placement instead of stretching the image out of proportion.

HTML/JS, WordPress or iframe?

The HTML/JavaScript code and official WordPress plugin can support verified impressions when the script executes correctly on the published page. Some content editors strip scripts, so previewing the editor is not an installation test.

A plain iframe may display a banner, but it cannot prove viewability on the publisher page without the necessary JavaScript integration. Such an iframe does not earn exchange credits.

Prepare ads in the right dimensions

Export a creative in an exact supported size, keep the text readable, and supply a real HTTPS landing page. New or edited creatives require moderation. A campaign may include separate images for horizontal, square and mobile slots.

Delivery is subject to compatible inventory, approval, category rules and available credits. No format guarantees exposure or clicks.
