Why was my BannerFlow ad impression not credited?
Ad code requests, delivered creatives and credited impressions are different metrics. BannerFlow verifies actual viewability and applies repeat limits before exchanging credits; loading a page alone is not a payable event.
The banner must actually be visible
At least 50% of the ad needs to remain visible for one second. An ad below the fold, a closed tab or a blocked JavaScript event may create a request without a verified impression.
The HTML/JavaScript integration can report viewability. A basic iframe without that integration may display ads but cannot earn credited impressions.
Repeat and timing limits
For the same viewer and publisher site, credited impressions have a 60-second cooldown. The same banner cannot be credited to the same viewer again within 24 hours. There is also an hourly viewer limit and a short-lived serve token.
An automatically rotated creative after 60 seconds does not automatically produce another credited impression; the full set of checks must still pass.
Moderation, budgets and categories
The banner must be approved, fit the slot dimensions and comply with the publisher’s allowed categories. Adult-themed ads require explicit publisher opt-in and are disabled by default.
The advertiser needs enough credits, and the campaign cannot be paused, out of schedule or over budget. Members do not earn exchange credits from their own banners on their own sites.
Find the reason in your dashboard
Open Why No Credit in the member dashboard to see delivered, counted, rejected, waiting and overdue impressions. Rejected requests include technical reason codes and troubleshooting advice.
If no requests arrive, check the installation key, size and domain status. If requests arrive without confirmed impressions, check script execution, viewability and browser extensions that may block the widget.
Read each metric correctly
Served means the network delivered a creative. Counted means a verified impression was recorded. Rejected means validation failed. Pending means no final confirmation has been stored yet.
Compare reports over a meaningful period and filter by the actual slot. Requests should never be presented as earned credits or guaranteed clicks.
